Avid & Co. x [Chris Reid] Interview

[ Chris Reid ] Q&A

Posted on

Welcome to the first feature of our [Interviewseries. The interviews we post on our Journal, will consist of quick fire questions, that have been conducted & undertaken by a member of the Avid & Co. team. Our aim is to feature interviews, that are highly relevant to our brand & the surrounding industry. We want to reduce the divide between consumer & those behind the brand - which is so common within the industry, by offering an insight, into some behind the scenes material that the average consumer may not be able to access. We hope you find all of our upcoming interview features, interesting & influential.

This weeks feature is male model & current face of the brand - [Chris Reid]. We caught up with him on our latest ecomm shoot in Manchester earlier this month. We wanted to find out a little more about him, his influences & what he get's up to when he's not in front of the lens.

How did you get into modelling?

A couple of my close friends had clothing, and they asked me if I would do a bit of modelling for them. So I thought why, and since then it has been a kind of snowball affect. The more stuff I did, the more I was getting noticed.

What do you enjoy most about being involved in this industry?

Meeting new people all the time & seeing new places.

Favorite project you've been involved with to date? My recent campaign with Footasylum.

What's your biggest motivation & drive to succeed? To make my Mom & Family proud, because they support me a lot. Also, I want to make the industry more diverse.

Biggest influences on your career to date? I would say my friends. We're all motivated in whatever we do, so we keep each other on job.

Do you have any rituals when preparing for shoots? If so, what are they?

No, but i'll always listen to music before a shoot.

What 5 travel essentials do you have that you can't go without?

  • Cocoa Butter
  • My hair brush
  • iPhone charger
  • Water
  • Headphones

How do you wind down after a long day of shooting & travelling? Depends really. Just chill out, listen to music or watch a film.

What would you be doing now if you were not a model?

I've got a big passion for music & DJ'ing, so I would probably be pushing that.
